We are in search of a proficient Power BI Specialist to join our team and contribute to various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various Power BI SKUs, including service, desktop, embedded, and premium. They will excel in crafting insightful Power BI reports and designing efficient data models. A mastery of DAX and M (Power Query) is essential, along with experience in optimizing Power BI performance, especially when dealing with large datasets. This role will involve direct interaction with clients to discern their requirements, making exceptional communication skills indispensable.

Responsibilities:

    Develop and deliver high-quality Power BI reports.
    Design and optimize Power BI data models for efficiency.
    Utilize DAX and M (Power Query) to create powerful data transformations and calculations.
    Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, particularly with large datasets.
    Interact with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI with other systems and processes.
    Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Essential Skills:

    Comprehensive knowledge of different Power BI SKUs (service, desktop, embedded, premium).
    Proficiency in building robust Power BI reports.
    Ability to design effective Power BI data models.
    Excellent command of DAX and M (Power Query).
    Experience in Power BI performance optimization, particularly with large datasets.
    Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients to gather requirements.

Nice-to-Haves:

    Familiarity with Power BI push datasets.
    Business analysis skills.
    Proficiency in Git Bash.
    Experience with Azure Data Factory.
    Knowledge of Azure Data Lake (Storage V2).
    Ability to build custom visuals in Power BI.
    Familiarity with other languages such as Python, C#, or web development.
    Experience in data science or cognitive services.
    Previous exposure to European/US markets.
    Experience in writing DAX queries.

Qualifications:

    Proven experience as a Power BI Specialist or similar role.
    Demonstrable expertise in creating impactful Power BI reports and data models.
    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex datasets.
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
