Overview:

Are you a skilled and imaginative writer with a passion for comics? We’re seeking two talented comic book writers to help bring to life a new series blending thrilling adventures, slice-of-life moments, and deep character-driven storytelling. Each writer will work on a 16-page issue series based on provided plots, character details, and themes, and will collaborate with a creative team to develop a world that captivates and engages readers.

Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with the creative team to build storylines within an established universe.
    Write character-focused, engaging scripts for 16-page issues, using detailed plot outlines and character backstories.
    Ensure that each issue follows the Kishōtenketsu structure while contributing to an overarching narrative aligned with Dan Harmon’s Story Circle.
    Develop rich, authentic dialogue, dynamic pacing, and scenes that highlight character growth and interactions.
    Work closely with artists and editors to refine and perfect each issue, ensuring a cohesive and immersive reading experience.

Qualifications:

    Strong Writing Portfolio: Previous experience in comics or graphic novels, showcasing your skill in dialogue, character development, and pacing.
    Genre Familiarity: Knowledge or experience with teenage hero genres and ability to construct complex, interwoven storylines across multiple issues.
    Team Collaboration: A collaborative, creative spirit with a passion for working closely with artists, editors, and the broader creative team.
    Storytelling Skills: Ability to work within predefined themes and character details while adding unique twists and emotional depth.
