Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this remote position, you will be responsible for preparing business and personal tax returns for our clients. Familiarity with Pro connect is preferred. Responsibilities:

    Prepare and file business and personal tax returns accurately and efficiently.
    Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
    Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
    Compute taxes owed or overpaid and complete entries on forms, following tax form instructions and tax tables.
    Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine procedures for the preparation of atypical returns.
    Verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures.

Requirements:

    Proven experience as a Tax Preparer.
    Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
    Familiarity with Pro connect software is preferred.
    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    Strong organizational and communication skills.
    Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., CPA, EA) are a plus.
