We are currently using a custom-made program that was developed in-house several years ago. Since then, we have accumulated a list of updates we want to implement, including exporting BOMs (Bill of Materials) to QuickBooks/Excel CSV and various other improvements. The original developer is no longer with us, and we are looking for a skilled developer to take over and enhance the program.

The program is specifically for designing wiring harnesses and automates point-to-point connections between connectors based on predefined templates. Here’s a brief overview of the workflow:

    Connector Templates: Users select connector templates from a dropdown menu and assign an ID (e.g., FC1-19).
    Attribute Population: AWG (American Wire Gauge), wire color, function, source, and group attributes are populated from the template if not already specified.
    Pin Connections: Users press the "Attach Pins" button, triggering a menu that shows all connectors, sources, and destinations. Users initiate a connection by left-clicking on a pin and setting the destination by right-clicking on another connector.

Enhancements Needed:

    Exporting BOMs: Implement functionality to export BOMs to QuickBooks/Excel CSV.
    UI/UX Improvements: Streamline the user interface to improve usability.
    Additional Features: Integrate any other requested functionalities based on the provided list.

Requirements:

    Programming Skills: Strong experience in the programming language and framework used to develop the original program.
    QuickBooks Integration: Familiarity with QuickBooks API for seamless export functionality.
    Excel CSV Handling: Proficient in generating and managing Excel CSV files.
    Legacy Code Management: Ability to understand and modify existing code efficiently.
    Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during updates.
