Job Description:
We are a pre-seed startup company based in California, specializing in Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. We are seeking a skilled IP lawyer who specializes in technology and has knowledge of climate tech and policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, particularly concerning technology and climate-related innovations. They should be capable of providing legal advice and guidance on various topics, including strategies for forming a business, patents, trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and guidance on intellectual property strategies related to DAC technology and climate tech innovations.
Assist with the formation and structuring of the business.
Handle patent, trademark, and copyright filings and related processes.
Draft and review licensing agreements and other legal documents.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the technology and climate tech sectors.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on technology and climate tech.
Proven track record of working with startups, particularly in the tech and climate sectors.
In-depth knowledge of business formation strategies and legal requirements.
Strong understanding of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with climate tech policies and regulations.
Familiarity with the latest trends and innovations in DAC technology.
Location:
Based in California.
