Project Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced editorial layout designer to assist with the design and layout of various editorial projects such as magazines, eBooks, and more. Working primarily with Adobe InDesign, you will transform provided assets into polished, engaging designs that maintain visual consistency and align with the project’s goals.

Responsibilities:

    Design editorial layouts for various formats including magazines, eBooks, brochures, etc.
    Ensure the overall design is cohesive and visually appealing, adhering to the provided brand guidelines.
    Implement prepress work, ensuring that files are print-ready (if applicable) and meet client specifications.
    Stick to deadlines while ensuring high-quality output.
    Collaborate with the client to understand the design vision and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements:

    Proven experience in editorial layout design (magazines, eBooks, brochures, etc.).
    Strong knowledge and experience with Adobe InDesign.
    Ability to take provided assets (images, text, etc.) and create visually engaging layouts.
    Detail-oriented with a good eye for typography, image placement, and alignment.
    Portfolio of previous editorial design work (please send samples).
    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Ideal Candidate:

    Has previous experience working on editorial projects for print and digital formats.
    Has an understanding of typography, grids, and layout principles in an editorial context.
    Experience with pre press and creating files that are print-ready.
    Open to ongoing work, either on a per page or per project pricing structure.
