Job Description:
We are a small business based in New Zealand, seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer with 2-3 years of corporate experience in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Xero accounting software and have a strong foundation in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and reconcile day-to-day financial transactions and postings.
Manage accounts payables and receivables.
Process payroll efficiently and accurately.
Raise invoices and perform reconciliation.
Prepare trial balances and financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
Prepare and file tax returns.
Handle tax filings in compliance with local regulations.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting or CPA qualification.
Strong team-working skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
