Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented graphic designer with experience in using Mid journey to create dynamic illustrations for a comic strip. The ideal candidate will have their own Mid journey account, but we are willing to provide access if necessary. The project involves creating two pages of a comic strip, each with 3-4 panels, featuring Black/African American characters. One page will focus on text with symbols or images to emphasize the words, while the other page will be more graphic-intensive.

Key Responsibilities:

    Illustration Creation:
        Develop 3-4 panels per page, bringing the existing story and vision to life through dynamic illustrations.
        Ensure characters and settings are represented accurately, with a focus on Black/African American characters.

    Collaboration:
        Work closely with the project team through Zoom (or preferred meeting platform) to share screens and ensure the illustrations align with the project's needs and vision.
        Communicate effectively to incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments during the creation process.

Requirements:

    Proven experience in comic strip illustration, particularly with Black/African American characters.
    Proficiency in using Mid journey for creating illustrations.
    Own Mid journey account preferred, but willing to use the provided account if necessary.
    Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively via online meetings.
    Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work under time constraints.

Preferred Skills:

    Experience in storytelling through comic strips.
    Strong portfolio showcasing previous comic strip work, particularly featuring diverse characters.
    Creativity and attention to detail.
