We are a collective digital marketing boutique firm seeking a talented Freelance Content Writer & Copywriter to help position IT and tech thought leaders as authoritative voices in 2025. This role involves creating engaging LinkedIn posts and long-form content tailored to the IT and tech sectors, focusing on maximizing visibility and engagement on LinkedIn.
Responsibilities:

    LinkedIn Content Creation:
        Write and optimize LinkedIn posts for thought leaders in IT and tech (3-6 per week).
        Develop long-form content such as articles, blogs, and case studies (1-2 per month).

    Collaboration and Strategy:
        Collaborate with the content strategist to craft a cohesive voice and tone that aligns with personal, brand, and business goals.
        Research industry trends to create timely, relevant, and impactful content.

    Engagement Optimization:
        Implement LinkedIn best practices, including strategically using hashtags, tagging, and formatting, to drive engagement.
        Monitor and analyze LinkedIn performance metrics to refine and improve content strategies.

Requirements:

    Experience:
        Demonstrated experience in LinkedIn thought leadership content, with a portfolio showcasing posts, articles, or campaigns crafted for IT or tech professionals.
        Proven ability to create content that generates measurable traction (engagement, profile visibility, etc.) on LinkedIn.

    Skills:
        Strong understanding of LinkedIn algorithms and thought leadership positioning strategies.
        Excellent research and storytelling skills tailored to a professional, tech-savvy audience.
        Familiarity with IT and tech industry trends and terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Understanding of the marketing funnel and flywheel.
    Ability to replicate voice, narrative, style, and tones to create a thought leadership persona.
    Capacity to manage multiple personas effectively.
    Strong understanding of technical terms in science and IT.
    Attention to detail and ability to read briefs carefully to shape a narrative and follow best practices.
    Agency experience and ghostwriting experience.
    Knowledge of SEO principles for long-form content discoverability.
    Ability to create human-sounding content if using AI (avoiding common/sloppy AI phrasing).

Compensation:

Competitive and based on experience. This is a freelance, ongoing engagement with flexible hours. As we continue building our portfolio, there will be room to advance.
