Are you a native English speaker with a knack for crafting captivating blurbs that hook readers and leave them wanting more? We’re seeking an experienced blurb writer who specializes in steamy contemporary romance novels and is skilled in the Feature-Promise-Action (FPA) approach. This position is ideal for someone with a background in romance ghostwriting, looking to build a long-term partnership focused on delivering high-quality, trope-centered blurbs for romance fans.

Responsibilities:

    Write Engaging Blurbs: Create concise, 150-word blurbs using the FPA approach, focusing on hook, primary conflict, and cliffhanger.
    Align with Romance Tropes: Tailor each blurb to popular romance tropes like Boss, Single Dad, Fake Engagement, and Grumpy Alpha Male, ensuring they resonate with contemporary romance readers.
    Collaborate with Team: Work closely with authors and editors to capture the tone, character dynamics, and key plot elements that make each story unique.

Requirements:

    Native English Speaker: Proven background in ghostwriting or blurb writing within the romance genre.
    Skilled in FPA Approach: Familiarity with the FPA method for blurb writing, emphasizing hook, conflict, and cliffhanger elements.
    Experience in Romance Genre: Previous work in romance or a similar genre, with samples showcasing your ability to craft compelling blurbs.
    Quality Content: All blurbs must be original, proofread, and error-free.
    Sample Submission: Provide 2 writing samples (between 1,000-6,000 words) for review.
    Consistent Output: Capacity to produce 10,000-15,000 words per week for ongoing projects.
    Pre Hire Test: Willingness to complete a brief, free test in Excel to demonstrate writing style and attention to detail.
    NDA and Copyright Agreement: Ability to sign a nondisclosure and copyright assignment agreement to transfer content rights before payment.
