Position: Bookkeeper

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our personal injury law firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the firm's financial records and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities. This role includes maintaining financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, processing payroll, and preparing financial reports for management.

Responsibilities:

    Financial Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and statements.
    Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, including the client trust account, to ensure accuracy.
    Payroll Processing: Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.
    Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and insights.
    Attention to Detail: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all financial transactions and documentation.

Skills Required:

    Bookkeeping Expertise: Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a law firm setting.
    Financial Statement Preparation: Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
    Bank Reconciliation: Skilled in reconciling bank accounts and client trust accounts.
    Payroll Processing: Proficient in processing payroll accurately and efficiently.
    Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial management.

Qualifications:

    Experience: Previous experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a law firm environment.
    Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
    Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
