Project Overview:
We are a start-up dance studio seeking a professional strategist and social media operations expert to conduct market research and develop a targeted promotional strategy for Xiaohongshu. We aim to enhance our market competitiveness and brand influence through effective social media engagement. This is a key role in shaping our digital presence, particularly on Xiaohongshu, with potential to expand internationally in the future.
Responsibilities:
Market Research:
Perform comprehensive market research across major domestic social media platforms like Weibo, WeChat, Douyin, and primarily Xiaohongshu.
Analyze target customer demographics, competitor activities, and market trends to understand the social media landscape for dance studios.
Social Media Strategy Development:
Based on research findings, create a promotional strategy tailored specifically for Xiaohongshu.
Develop a content creation direction, including identifying the type of content that resonates with the target audience.
Provide posting schedules and engagement tactics to maximize interaction with followers.
Offer insights on hashtag usage, content formats (videos, images, stories), and influencer collaborations if applicable.
International Social Media Knowledge:
Provide insights on international marketing and help adapt strategies to foreign social media platforms as needed (such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) for future growth.
Leverage cross-platform knowledge to expand brand presence beyond the domestic market when necessary.
Project Requirements:
Strong market analysis skills with a focus on identifying key trends and consumer preferences.
Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities to develop innovative social media strategies.
Experience working in higher education or educational institutions, with the ability to understand specific marketing strategies for industries like dance studios.
Knowledge of Xiaohongshu and other Chinese social media platforms with proven experience in creating and managing successful campaigns.
Proven experience managing a Xiaohongshu account, with a preference for applicants who have successfully monetized smaller follower bases—please include details of successful campaigns in your application.
Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with our team and stakeholders.
Familiarity with international social media marketing strategies is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
Has prior experience managing Xiaohongshu accounts and other social media platforms like WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin.
Has worked within the dance or education industry, providing insights that are applicable to social media marketing within this niche.
Demonstrates creativity and strategic thinking to craft effective and engaging content tailored to our audience.
Can provide successful case studies or examples of previous projects where they grew an account and monetized it with a smaller but engaged follower base.
Fluent in Mandarin (preferred) to navigate the Chinese social media landscape effectively.
