I am seeking a talented illustrator to bring my children’s picture book to life. This project is close to my heart, focusing on a young girl who teaches her brother about faith and courage through the classic Bible story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den. The book will be self-published in both eBook and print formats.

    Inspiration: I am inspired by the work of illustrators such as Nina Mata (I Promise), Vashti Harrison (Hair Love), Alejandro Mesa (Peter Pan), Bea Jackson (Our Beautiful Colors), and Udayana Lugo (If You Were a Princess). I’m looking for bright colors and mostly realistic human characters that can captivate young readers.
    Creative Control: While I will provide feedback and ideas, creative control will ultimately be up to you.
    Requirements: Familiarity with Old Testament Bible stories would be a plus, though not mandatory. Attention to detail and the ability to work within the constraints of a children’s book format are essential.

Compensation:

    Flat Fee: The project will be compensated with a flat fee that includes the transfer of copyright and final artworks to me as the author.
    Credits: I will happily credit you as the illustrator both on and in the book, and promote your work during school visits and book reading events.

Legal:

    Agreement: A written agreement will be established to outline the rights, obligations, deadlines, and compensation for both the author and illustrator.
