Job Description:

Whirlwind Recordings is seeking a skilled Social Media and News Editor to manage our social media content and write news posts for our website. This freelance position requires you to post multiple times a week, maintaining a precise posting schedule while producing engaging news copy for our website to coincide with each social post.
Key Responsibilities:

    Social Media Management: Post regularly on platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, following a precise company calendar.
    News Copywriting: Write engaging and relevant news copy for our website that coincides with each social media post.
    Adapt to Whirlwind’s Style: Learn and replicate the tone and style of previous posts.
    Collaborate Remotely: Work with a small, strong team spread across different time zones, coordinating closely with artists and graphic designers.
    Consistency & Schedule: Ensure all content is posted on time, staying responsive to changes or additional assignments.
    Opportunities for Growth: Potential for more work if you excel in this position.

Qualifications:

    Fluent English: Excellent writing and communication skills in English (native or studied officially).
    Copywriting Experience: Preferably in music/entertainment, though not mandatory.
    Social Media Skills: Understanding of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress.
    Attention to Detail: Ability to follow a strict posting schedule and coordinate effectively with team members.
    Responsiveness: Must be highly responsive and reliable, adhering to deadlines.

Bonus:

    Experience in social media advertising is not required but could be beneficial for future opportunities.
