Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in upgrading Kubernetes clusters, particularly from version 1.23 to 1.30, and possess strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, GitLab, and Helm. This role requires a deep understanding of containerization, cloud application development, and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

    Upgrade the Kubernetes cluster from v1.23 to v1.30, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transition.
    Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to support our applications and services.
    Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
    Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
    Deploy and manage applications using Helm.
    Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to automate and streamline our processes.
    Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
    Ensure security best practices are implemented across all systems and services.
    Provide guidance and support to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.

Skills and Experience Required:

    Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including cluster upgrades and management.
    Strong expertise in AWS services and infrastructure management.
    Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
    Hands-on experience with GitLab for CI/CD pipelines.
    Knowledge of Helm for application deployment and management.
    Experience with Docker and containerization.
    Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
    Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
    Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure).
    Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
    Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    Previous experience in a senior or lead DevOps role.
