Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Consultant based in Nigeria to help drive our fundraising efforts and enhance our resource development strategy. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations, a strong network of potential donors, and a deep understanding of the Nigerian fundraising landscape. Working closely with our team, you will play a critical role in identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and implementing strategies that strengthen our fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

    Strategy Development: Design and implement effective fundraising strategies tailored to our organization’s goals and objectives.
    Donor Identification: Research and identify potential local and international donors, grant-making bodies, and funding organizations interested in our mission.
    Proposal Writing: Craft compelling proposals, grant applications, and pitches that align with donor priorities and highlight the impact of our work.
    Donor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, providing regular updates and impact reports to encourage sustained support.
    Campaign Management: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
    Capacity Building: Train and advise our team on effective fundraising techniques and strategies to build internal fundraising capacity.
    Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on fundraising progress, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future efforts.

Qualifications:

    Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations, with a proven track record of successfully securing funding.
    Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Nigerian fundraising landscape, including familiarity with local donors, foundations, and grant opportunities.
    Skills:
        Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills.
        Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
        Ability to analyze donor requirements and align our proposals to meet them.
    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
