Job Description:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate various accounting duties within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and tax laws, with a proven ability to manage accounting functions independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Coordination: Oversee and coordinate accounting functions and programs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Financial Analysis: Prepare detailed financial analyses, reports, revenue projections, and expenditure forecasts.
Budgeting: Assist in preparing and monitoring organizational budgets.
Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Audit Preparation: Assist with annual audit preparations and investigate audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues.
Tax Returns: Prepare and submit special tax returns.
System Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as needed.
Staff Support: Support and train junior staff, providing guidance and oversight as necessary.
Additional Duties: Perform other accounting duties as assigned, supporting various departments and functions.
Senior Accountant Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 5-7 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Skills:
Superior financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage a constant stream of deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across different levels of the organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and programs, with strong familiarity in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and stress management abilities.
Capability to train and manage staff effectively.
Location: Preference for candidates from Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, or the Philippines.
