Position Overview:
We are an online education company that creates online courses and learning products, such as membership sites. We are seeking a skilled and results-driven marketer to support our course promotion efforts on an as-needed basis. This role involves creating strategies tailored to our projects and working with our internal team to execute them effectively. While this is primarily a strategy-focused role, we may require some implementation, depending on your rate and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Development:
Conduct audience analysis to identify target demographics and how best to reach them.
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for each project, including recommended channels, content types, posting frequency, and pricing.
Design effective funnels, detailing each stage, metrics, and projections to meet enrollment goals.
Suggest specific elements for campaigns, such as webinars, lead magnets, contests, or course trailers.
Team Collaboration:
Brief our writers, designers, and video editors on the necessary assets for each campaign.
Review and approve all assets before they are published to ensure alignment with strategy.
Campaign Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor campaigns across channels, evaluate performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
Create and maintain a dashboard for each project, showcasing:
Incoming leads
Conversion rates
Success metrics per channel
Other key data points
Execution Guidance:
Develop strategies for inbound marketing to drive organic growth, minimizing reliance on ads.
Collaborate on campaign designs, landing pages, lead magnets, content calendars, media briefs, and ad copy if needed.
Brand Alignment:
Provide guidance on overall brand strategy to ensure consistency across all projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of online marketing trends and tactics, particularly for digital products and course promotion.
Proven expertise in building and optimizing sales funnels and pricing strategies for online courses.
Familiarity with inbound marketing techniques, lead magnets, webinars, and membership site promotion.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience:
Demonstrated success with marketing strategies for online education or digital products.
Track record of increasing course enrollment and driving successful campaigns.
Experience creating dashboards to track campaign performance.
Portfolio Requirement:
Share at least two specific successes in promoting educational or digital products.
