Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative SEO & Web Developer to join our team. This role involves building a custom WordPress website for our marketing agency and managing ongoing monthly updates and improvements. The ideal candidate is proficient in both web development and SEO practices, ensuring our online presence is not only functional and attractive but also optimized for search engines.

Key Responsibilities:

    Website Development:
        Design and develop a custom WordPress website tailored to Surge Avenue’s branding and business needs.
        Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing.

    SEO Optimization:
        Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and ranking on search engines.
        Conduct keyword research and integrate relevant keywords into website content and metadata.
        Optimize site structure, URLs, and internal linking for maximum SEO impact.

    Content Management:
        Assist with creating, updating, and managing website content to ensure it is current and engaging.
        Work with the content creation team to ensure content is optimized for SEO.

    Ongoing Maintenance and Updates:
        Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
        Implement new features and improvements based on user feedback and marketing goals.
        Monitor website performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance user experience.

    Collaboration:
        Work closely with the marketing team to align website and SEO strategies with overall marketing objectives.
        Collaborate with graphic designers, content creators, and social media managers to ensure a cohesive online presence.

    Performance Analysis:
        Use analytics tools to track website performance, user behavior, and SEO effectiveness.
        Provide regular reports on website traffic, rankings, and other key metrics.
        Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

    3+ years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
    Proven experience with SEO practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
    Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
    Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile optimization.
    Experience with website analytics and performance tracking tools.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Strong organizational and time-management skills.
