Profile Summary:

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer to join our team, focusing on product design and development for the aviation and airline industry. This role requires expertise in CAD software for creating detailed 2D and 3D models, along with hands-on experience in prototyping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

    Design Creation: Develop technical drawings, blueprints, and both 2D and 3D models to meet business requirements, leveraging industrial design knowledge and CAD software.
    Precision and Detail: Ensure all designs are accurate, taking into account dimensions, materials, and other technical factors.
    Product Development: Conceptualize the product development lifecycle, create prototypes, conduct testing, and implement necessary variations to deliver the final product.
    Communication: Facilitate clear communication of design concepts within the team, with vendors, and to clients, including on innovative projects like observatory domes.
    Quality Control: Review designs for any errors, discrepancies, or necessary adjustments to meet project specifications.
    Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about trends and advancements in CAD technology and product design.
    Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors on material selection and prototype creation, maintaining accurate records of costs and expenses.
    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple departments to align on project specifications and design needs.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

    Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
    Experience: 1-3 years of experience in CAD or 3D model designing.
    CAD Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Experience with ANCYS and 3D printing is a plus.
    Technical Skills: Proficient in engineering principles, designing processes, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
