Job Description:

Maven, a premium cannabis brand based in California, is seeking freelance graphic designers to collaborate on a range of creative projects. As a designer, you’ll play a key role in helping elevate our brand’s aesthetic while ensuring all work adheres to compliance regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from packaging design to digital content, while contributing to the growth of a dynamic and innovative brand.

Responsibilities:

Packaging Design:

Create or update high-quality packaging designs for new and existing product lines.

Marketing Materials:

Design engaging assets for campaigns, social media, and events, including digital ads, print flyers, and retail displays.

Labeling:

Update and design product labels, including compliance labels and product cards.

Digital Content:

Design banners, email newsletters, and website assets to support product launches and promotions.

Website Management:

Assist with updates to our website by uploading new content, creating visually cohesive product pages, and ensuring branding consistency across digital platforms.

Requirements:

Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging, branding, and digital content.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for packaging and labeling in the cannabis industry (or willingness to learn).

Ability to balance creativity with brand consistency and compliance regulations.

Flexibility and ability to handle both high-level creative projects and production-focused tasks.

Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the cannabis industry or other regulated industries.

Familiarity with website platforms and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).

Knowledge of design trends specific to premium or lifestyle brands.
